Casa Pintada is the present venue for the Foundation, it also takes its name, and the San Francisco monastery is the place where an enterprising multidisciplinarary schedule is projected.

The Casa Pintada Foundation emerged from the collaboration agreement between the Town Hall of Mula and the Cristóbal Gabarrón Foundation, where the visitor can find the Cristóbal Gabarrón Museum Center of Contemporaneous Culture Interpretation, whose main aims are:

The spreading of the artistic career of Cristóbal Gabarrón, starting from his work's exhibition and a wide center for documentation where the study related to contemporaneous art could be possible, turning into a place for meditation and discussion of it.

The creation of a Strategic Plan for recovery and promotion of Mula's cultural value, which, based on an Infrastructure Plan, could be reference for cultural tourism all over Murcia.

The conversion of Mula into the focus of Mediterranean Cultures and Societies meeting, both European and African.

The study and spreading of the three cultures' values - Islamic, Jewish and Christian -, which peacely coexisted for ages in the old Kingdom of Murcia.
